At the end of the 0-0 draw against Novara, the Union Clodiense coach, Antonio Andreuccicommented with satisfaction on his team’s performance, while maintaining high attention on the still long journey in the championship.
“We faced a team with a lot of resources, but we were organized throughout the match,” said Andreucci. “It was a good performance, but we haven’t done anything yet: we are behind in the table and we have to keep working.”
The coach then praised the performance of Brzan, the protagonist in defence: “He showed great quality and physical strength. In the first half he made an important intervention and also made himself felt in the exits. He is maturing together with the others, and this is the first time we drew 0-0 without conceding a late goal, a sign of greater experience.”
Andreucci did not hide his disappointment with the situation related to the Chioggia stadium: “We had the great hope of returning to play in our stadium. Playing all the matches away from home is not easy, but we have never used this excuse. Ballarin is the beating heart of Chioggia sport, a home that represents tradition By playing there, this category could have an even more special meaning for our fans and the city.”
Looking ahead, Andreucci has already focused his attention on the next challenges: “On Friday we will play in Legnago and we already have to think about Vicenza. We hope to be able to return to our home soon, for us and for our people”.
