Tajon Buchanan returns to be seen on the green rectangle. The exterior of theInteras reported by Corriere dello Sportplayed on the night between Friday and Saturday in an American Nations League match between Suriname and Canada. Twelve minutes of use for the former Bruges player, who hadn’t seen the pitch since the America’s Cup in the summer.
A fractured tibia took Buchanan away from Inter, with his last appearance having roots in the match in Verona last May. The same commitment awaits the Italian champions in six days when the championship resumes, however. In the meantime, however, a run-up that lasted 139 days came to fruition. An additional alternative in all respects, now, for Inzaghi after Buchanan was kept on standby.
The Canadian winger comes from five consecutive benches between the championship and the Champions League: in practice, almost the entire last block after returning from the previous national team break. His return to the pitch was simply postponed because Inter have always had very tight matches – including the one at San Siro against Venezia, a victory kept in the balance until the end – in the last month. But Buchanan, who has yet to play a match for Inter from the first minute, was to all intents and purposes eligible for recruitment. The times have been extended, of course, while the winger will be one year with the Nerazzurri shirt at the beginning of January. The Canadian coach himself, Marsch, was impressed by Buchanan’s lightning recovery. “Incredible if we think about the type of injury he had,” he said before giving him a final piece.
