A year and a half after the decision to leave Celta Vigo to move to Saudi Arabia, at Al-Ahli (despite the courtship of Napoli) the Spanish midfielder Gabri Veiga could retrace his steps and return to the old continent. As the specialized Spanish portal ‘Fichajes.net’ writes, the footballer born in 2002 is considering the possibility of leaving the rich Middle Eastern championship in the next transfer window to return to Europe: two Serie A clubs are on his trail, namely Napoli and Fiorentina, and a big Premier League team: Tottenham.
In the past few hours Gabri Veiga admitted that he misses Celta Vigo, the club that launched him into the world of football: “I always hope to come back. From the first moment, this feeling of wandering will be there and it will be until the last day. It bothers me when Celta play at 6pm and I train. Whenever I can, I watch it. It’s the club of my life. Damián (Rodríguez, ed.) and Hugo (Sotelo, ed.) are my friends. I hope we can see each other again in the future.”
Gabri Veiga is linked to the Arab club by a contract valid until 30 June 2026. In the summer of 2023, to buy his card, Al Ahli paid thirty-two million euros.
