Interviewed by today’s edition of Tuttosport, Stefano Vecchi he spoke about the second team project and how important they would be for the players we had in Inter’s Primavera: “To try to get there first, but also to not get lost. Someone immediately entered important categories, like Pinamonti, Radu and Bonazzoli. Others have had to follow more tortuous paths, like Dimarco, who struggled the first few years playing in Serie B and abroad. Di Gregorio had to make the Lega Pro and is now at Juve. Others still have it in the depths of the Lega Pro found difficulties, without overcoming them, if there had been a second team, they would perhaps have undertaken a different career.
Spring’s goal? To train the players, but they must also be trained from a mental point of view, therefore also in search of the result: among professionals you are asked to do so. A second team aims to develop players or to win? They are educational, but I believe there will also be a point when one of these will aim to win to acquire a higher level.
Can a second team also be useful for the budget? From an economic point of view it can be an advantage. As a coach, I tell you that the second teams are generally a reason for growth for the entire movement.”
