(ANSA) – UDINE, NOV 16 – Udinese Calcio continues to be at the forefront of the fight against climate change. The Friulian Club is among the seven worldwide that participated in the Eca event for COP29 in Baku, Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the largest forum in the world on the topic, which aims to achieve a rapid reduction in emissions. ‘Udinese was chosen together with six other top-level European clubs – Atletico Madrid, Real Betis, Liverpool, Porto, Qarabag FK and Tottenham Hotspur – thanks to the social and environmental commitment which, in recent years, has given rise to numerous projects such as the solar park that will power the Bluenergy Stadium, a unique example of its kind in Italy.
Udinese Calcio, which is part of the Eca working group on sustainability, was among the signatories of the founding declaration of the Climate Pact between football clubs, signing the commitment to fight against climate change and to implement actions for a future sustainable. In Baku, Magda Pozzo, marketing strategies of the company, illustrated all the environmental and social activities thanks to which the club has become a global example: from the project for the first zero carbon emission stadium in Italy, to the playing uniforms which, since since 2020, they have been made by Macron with eco-sustainable fabric.
