Dragan Stojkovic can celebrate. His Serbia managed to snatch a late draw in Switzerland, obtaining the necessary point to ensure their stay in League A of the Nations League, precisely to the detriment of the Swiss. At the end of the match the technical commissioner spoke at the press conference and expressed himself as follows on the match which ended 1-1:
“It was an interesting match, in some ways dramatic. Switzerland is a good team and created some chances. We had scoring chances and then we missed the penalty. The free kick came later. It wasn’t easy to get back into the match , but the strong character of my players and the belief that they have the mental strength to return gave us a good result.”
