Pillon: “Bari is a well-built team. They lost points along the way but there is time to make up for it”

Interviewed by Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno, Giuseppe Pillon he initially recalled the period in Bari: “It was a difficult six months. We didn’t avoid the playouts. The repechage was a sigh of relief because I felt responsible despite having made choices on which I couldn’t go back”. The discussion then moved on to the current team which, after a difficult start, has reached the playoff zone:

I see a well-built team. I worked with sporting director Magalini during his time at Alessandria. He set up a team based on Longo, with players suited to the role. An experienced director. Points were lost along the way, like against Reggiana. But there is time to fix it.

Lasagna, Novakovich, Favilli, Falletti and Sibilli are thoroughbred horses for B. Bari has one of the strongest departments in the category. It always depends on the game organization and how you enhance the attackers who must be good in the defensive phase. Bottom-up construction pays off a lot
