Atlético believes in its young players and this week announced the new contracts of Almeida and Javi Díaz. Yesterday, however, the renewal of Diego Brione of the most important players of the reserve team. The 22-year-old winger has signed until 2027: “I am very happy to renew with Atlético Madrid. Since I arrived here, personally and sportingly, everything has gone great and I hope the same will be the case for the next few years too”, he told the club’s website.
Diego Bri had a difficult start to the season. In the first match of the season he suffered a fracture to his left collarbone which kept him out of the team for a month and a half. The player returned in mid-October and, after regaining his place in the starting eleven, suffered a muscle injury in the derby against Castilla on 2 November. He only played 147 minutes in total.
