Galliani speaks: “Trust in Nesta. Maldini? No clause, he will end the season at Monza”

Alessandro Nesta is not in question. Adriano Galliani, CEO of Monza, said it in these hours during a meeting with the fans of the Brianza team: “I saw Nesta very determined and very angry because he is looking for the solution to score points. Beyond of affectionate relationships for many years, we chose him because according to the statistics he was the one who played in the most similar way to Palladino. He enjoys our trust and doesn’t take any kind of risk, but now the time has come to score points”, his words reported by ANSA.

Then in another passage Adriano Galliani added: “Monza is playing well. The last three matches against three important teams like Atalanta, Milan and Lazio we played at least on par. It is useless to mention again the recognized refereeing errors which canceled out a goal in Bergamo and a goal against Milan, but we are playing well. We have fewer points than we deserve, but this is the ranking.”

Finally, Galliani was keen to clarify Daniel Maldini’s position. The son of art has no termination clause valid in the month of January and, consequently, the Brianza club has no intention of selling him despite the many interested teams (especially Atalanta): “We don’t have to think about the transfer market now, we have to think about scoring points until January. Then we’ll see about the transfer market. Maldini is a player with enormous potential who is growing and can still improve a lot. In January there is no clause: he will close the contract year in Monza, then we’ll see next year.”
