Triestina, former coach Bonatti: “He has all the qualities to reach the playoffs”

TMW Radio

The former Triestina coach Andrea Bonatti spoke to TMW Radio during the A Tutta C broadcast to talk about the complicated moment of the halberds:

On paper, in the summer, Triestina was spoken of as one of the favorites to fight for the top places. What happens in these cases to arrive at such a loud thud?
“Evaluating from the outside is difficult. The team certainly has top-ranking profiles, and having personally been to Trieste I must say that I didn’t encounter too much pressure from the streets. Maybe there were some difficulties in adapting on the part of some foreigners, but the team’s potential remains enormous.”

So is there a chance to still get to the playoffs?
“History tells us of teams like Virtus Verona who, two years ago, in mid-November were last with seven points, while in the end they reached the playoffs, where they were eliminated only by Zeman’s Pescara. This tells us that Triestina can also do it, especially given the values it has.”

Could what happened between Clotet and Krollis be the result of the nervousness of a team that is not used to certain areas of the standings?
“First of all, if a person has these very strong reactions, we should understand what situation they are experiencing. Clotet’s nervousness, having just arrived, I don’t know how much it could be linked only to the sporting environment. I’m not a judge or a lawyer, but it wasn’t a nice gesture.”
