San Siro close to sold out for Italy-France: 65 thousand tickets have been issued

65,000 tickets have been issued and the sold-out is ever closer for Italy-France, a match that will be staged on Sunday evening at San Siro and will be valid for the sixth and final day of the Nations League group stage. Once again, Milan responded to the call of the national team, which will return to play at San Siro fourteen months after the success against Ukraine (2-1 with a brace from Frattesi) in a match valid for the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

Blind fans
In continuity with what happened in the last matches played in Italy by the national team, the audio-description service for blind fans will also be active during the match against France. The FIGC has invited 25 blind spectators with their respective companions, who will be able to follow the Azzurri thanks to a commentary dedicated to them.

Tribute to Gigi Riva
In the pre-match of Italy-France, the FIGC will remember Gigi Riva, the Italian champion who would have turned 80 last November 7th. A video will be broadcast on the giant screen of the ‘Meazza’ with some of the most iconic goals of ‘Rombo di Tuono’, while a part of the pitch will be transformed into a canvas, where the images will be mixed with 3D animations and light beams positioned on board field, making the memory of the best scorer in the history of the national team memorable.

Campanati Award
Before the starting whistle of the match, the ‘Giulio Campanati Award’ will be presented at the ‘Meazza’ stadium in memory of the former president of the AIA who passed away in 2011. Promoted by the Friends of Giulio Campanati Association with the AIA Section of Milan, the award is given to the best referee of the European and World Championships. The best match director of EURO 2024 will be awarded on Sunday.
