Market in January? Real Madrid (as usual) says no. The reinforcements will be Asencio and Fortea

The real Madrid has a strategic plan for the market that will not change in the short term. The club has not bought players in the winter transfer market for five years, that is, since Brahim Díaz he arrived from Manchester City at the request of then manager Santiago Solari. But Carlo Ancelotti has not requested nor will he request any reinforcements for January, he writes AS Diary. The Italian coach is aligned with the club’s medium-term vision and will wait until June to strengthen the team with two full-backs, a central defender and a midfielder.

In the meantime, according to authoritative sources, Ancelotti will rely on the current squad, which he already believes to be very competitive, and will immediately integrate two young players from the Cantera into the first team: the Canarian Asencio, who has already made his debut on Sunday against Osasuna with an assist from 50 meters for Bellingham, and the Alicante Fortea, who should make his debut against Leganés after the international break.

At the moment the Merengues are particularly unlucky in terms of injuries: three cruciate ligament ruptures in David Alaba, Daniel Carvajal and Éder Militão. The injuries to Rodrygo and Thibaut Courtois are no small feat either, but Lucas Vázquez and Aurélien Tchouaméni also had problems in the team’s last outing.
