Vaciago on the Mole derby: “Juventus’ soft dictatorship. Tame bull”

During his leading article published today on newsstands, the director of Tuttosport Guido Vaciago he spoke about the Turin derby which ended 2-0 in favor of Juventus with goals from Weah and Yildizi:

“No, it wasn’t a battle, it didn’t have the pace, the competitive spirit or even the desperation required of someone who has lost six of the last seven games. It’s a very tame Toro and Juventus willingly adapts to the sluggish progress , only controlling the match, it’s a soft dictatorship, Toro is forbidden to shoot on goal, otherwise Juventus gives up a couple of lashes and doesn’t attack as much as it could, given the technical and character gap.

Motta is, rightly, satisfied. He has been building his season one piece at a time since the beginning of his season, he is methodical, not frenetic and in the ninth match out of fifteen without conceding a goal there are the foundations of his project; in the now granite solidity of Locatelli and in the consistent match of Savona there is the construction of a team by regenerating the heads before the legs”.
