Marcus Thuram was interviewed by CBS Sports Golazo at the end of Inter’s 1-0 victory over Arsenal: “We would have liked to control the match more but when you win 1-0 and the other team presses you back. We would have liked to keep the line higher, we conceded many crosses but we remained solid and we are happy with the victory.”
“Did Inzaghi’s turnover surprise you? No, we knew it. We don’t call it that because we are 23 great players. Against City I played with Taremi and Lautaro was on the bench. We want to keep everyone involved, we know that we have a great game on Sunday. It’s good that everyone plays. Inter were crushed in the area in the second half: “Sometimes it’s by ‘default’ and sometimes by will, sometimes we like to bring the opponents close to our area to start on the counterattack and others instead they take control of the game.”
