Champions of Made in Italy: the words of Vlahovic, Leao, Thuram, Dybala and Kvaratskhelia

There Serie A today screened the docufilm Champions of Made in Italy, in which several footballers who play in our championship spoke about their adaptation to the cities in which they live. Below are some of the most important phrases from Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus, Rafael Leao of Milan, Marcus Thuram of Inter, Paulo Dybala of Roma and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia of Napoli:

Dusan Vlahovic: “The move to Turin was the most important for me. From the first day I found myself in Turin I felt at home.”

Rafael Leao: “I think Italy is the perfect place for me. Milan is a beautiful city, thanks to the climate and the food, you can go shopping. I feel at home. It’s nice because here you can improve a lot, learn a lot by staying in the area of comfort. Personally, changing country has helped me to think differently, because now I am a man and no longer a boy. Everyone comes to fashion week, and that is what makes it one of the best cities in the world. Italy we are a perfect couple.”

Marcus Thuram: “Milan is a special city, to which I am very attached. Football is a dream for me, it has been part of my life since I was little thanks to my father. I grew up in Italy with Italian habits and Italian culture. Milan you can see the world, come into contact with many cultures.”

Paulo Dybala: “I have always been attracted to things that have to do with the Roman Empire. Maybe in another life I was already here. Rome is magical. When I was little, in Argentina, I saw Rome in films and I saw it as huge. For me It was a dream to be here.”

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia: “Football is my life: it’s simple to say. I always miss home, but now I feel that my home is Italy. Naples lives on football, is happy with football, you can’t find this thing in other places. Here they love me and treat me well.”
