If on the one hand this Monday 4th November which passed just a few minutes ago was marked by the end of the 13th day of the Serie C championship (CLICK HERE for the results of the round), on the other hand there were also market movements. But not in the third series, but in Serie B, where SudTirol has entrusted the bench to Marco Zaffaroni after the coach’s dismissal in the morning Federico Valentewho paid for the defeat against Cesena at the weekend.
Below is the note:
“FC Südtirol announces that it has entrusted Marco Zaffaroni with the role of head coach of the first team.
Born in Milan on 20 January 1969, Zaffaroni began his career on the bench in the 2009-2010 season as assistant coach of Perugia. In 2022 he will make his debut in Serie A with Hellas Verona after several professional experiences with other clubs, between Serie B and Serie C such as Monza, Albinoleffe and Cosenza. Last season he led Feralpisalò in Serie B, taking over from Stefano Vecchi on 23 October 2023. The coach signed a contract with the red and white club until 30 June 2025 with an option in the event of salvation.
The new coach will lead the first training session tomorrow, Tuesday 5 November.”
But be careful, Palermo is also active on the market, but with a view to January: with Gomis’ injury, the club seems intent on looking for another goalkeeper to join Desplanches, and the name that has come back into fashion is that of Ionut Radu, out of the squad at Inter and already explored in the summer by the rosanero, who then opted for Sirigu.
Going down to Serie C, Foggia chaos. The club has yet to choose the new sporting director and the new coach, but the turning point seems close: in fact, a meeting between the owners and Giuseppe Di Bariwho would fill the role of transfer man, while he takes hold on the bench Leonardo Colucciwho had also been close to the Latina bench in recent weeks. All that remains is to wait.
