Tonight is an important match for Jonathan David, Lille’s Canadian striker. Because it will expire on 30 June 2025 and he will probably not renew with the French, so he could be put on the market as early as January to maximize his transfer, as happened with Tiago Djalò a year ago. Perhaps with a different fate compared to the Portuguese who arrived from an injury and was rejected first by Allegri (only 16 minutes), then by Thiago Motta, sold to Porto and only becoming a starter in the last few games (with two goals between Taça de Portugal and Europa League).
Juventus’ intention would also be to focus on Jonathan David. The timing seems to be the correct one, because there is certainly a need for a Vlahovic deputy who is not just Arek Milik – injured since June – and David’s assessment could be appropriate to try to conclude the purchase. The valuation can float between 10 and 15 million euros: basically it would be appropriate to wait until June, but there an auction will be triggered with all the Premier League clubs (and not only).
David, however, is high on his salary: around 5 million euros per seasonwhile now it takes less than half. For Lille these are impossible figures to satisfy, so Juve can observe him closely and understand if there are margins to buy him as early as January.
