Major recovery at home Arsenal in view of the match against Inter tomorrow evening at San Siro, a match valid for the 4th day of the Champions League. In fact, he was present along with the rest of the group at this morning’s finishing session at the Sobha Realty Training Centre Martin Odegaard.
The Norwegian talent, a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s game, is therefore considered available for the match against the Nerazzurri after his long injury. Odegaard, in fact, was injured at the beginning of September with his national team, effectively missing two months. The Gunners’ absentees, however, are Riccardo Calafiori, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney, all players who are continuing their respective injury recovery programmes. Further information will be given by Arteta himself in a press conference from San Siro, today at 7pm. Together with the Spanish coach, striker Bukayo Saka will speak for the Londoners.
In the last few hours, it was Paolo Di Canio who commented on the Gunners’ moment and the absence of Odegaard in Arteta’s game: “Arteta’s team is not demonstrating what it did last year and today’s match against Newcastle has deserved to lose them, even with some defections, but they can’t play at such pace, they’re not the same aggressive team as last year, they’re not creative, and Odegaard’s absence isn’t enough to explain it.”
