Pep Clotet’s new challenge is called Triestina. The Spanish coach agreed to move down a category to try to build something important over time. And he tells TuttoMercatoWeb.com his feelings.
Clotet, why Serie C?
“The challenge convinced me. The city and the possibility that this company has to build something over time did the rest. We know we have to work, the situation is difficult. But we have to work to achieve salvation and then think about something else.”
Against Pergolettese you equalized at the last minute.
“I just arrived. I did a week of work. The team against Pergolettese showed signs of growth, they believed in it together with the fans who helped us a lot. The boys took the draw well, it’s a point to start from.”
The next match will be against Pro Patria.
“A difficult match. We have to confirm the good feelings of Wednesday and think that we have to fight for the three points.”
Programs for the future: salvation this year and then?
“This year we have to achieve salvation. If we have five points it means that thinking of something more is complicated. After salvation we can think about building for the future to at least reach Serie B.”
Are you already thinking about the January transfer window?
“I’m focused on doing my best now. Then in January we’ll see: there will be the transfer market, a situation that will have to be faced by a sporting director who will have to arrive and with whom I would like to deal. I would like the company to complete each other in all its parts so that we can grow together.”
How did you find Serie C?
“Competitive, like the B that I know well. We will have to give our best in every match.”
