Dybala’s report cards: he took Roma on his shoulders. He always has another idea

Who if not Paulo Dybala could he send a signal and lead Roma to success? In the 1-0 against Torino he was the best on the pitch and deserves a 7 from La Gazzetta dello Sport: “He capitalizes on Linetty’s gift and always has an extra idea. Pisilli’s fake on the post is brilliant, canceled out by offside.” Same vote for the Corriere dello Sport: “He took Roma on his shoulders from the first minute, playing as a director and finisher. Intelligent at intercepting Linetty’s ball, very good at framing the goal with a limited portion at his disposal.” The Corriere della Sera rewards it with a 7.5, while for Tuttosport it’s 7: “False nine, but also many more. He takes Roma on his shoulders and scores the 1-0 by taking advantage of Linetty’s mistake.” Another 7 and praise too VoiceYellowRed: “A hurricane, especially in the first part of the match. He scores a great goal and drives the visiting defense crazy for the entire first half.” Finally it is 7.5 per TMW: “The comparison with Totti is not blasphemous: deployed in the role of false nine, he plays a match as a technical leader and moral driver. You find him everywhere, almost always near the ball. And then that goal, it seems easy but it is anything but how trivial: in precarious balance, with a chewed ball, he finds the goal from a very tight position.”
