After the two victories in a row obtained on the fifth and sixth day, only one point came in the standings for the How in the next three championship matches. Only one draw in Serie A for the Lazio who after dividing the stakes on the third day won four matches and lost twice in the next six.
There is a substantial balance between Como and Lazio seeing the precedents in the championship (between Serie A and Serie B) played on the lake shore. We start again with the home team ahead by a gap: four wins to three. These two teams return to face each other at Sinigaglia 22 years after the last time: on 17 November 2002 that match ended 3-1 for Lazio thanks above all to Claudio Lopez’s brace.
Como is the only Serie A team to have always conceded at least one goal in every matchday. Lazio did little better than their next opponents, as they finished with the goal undefeated on only one occasion. Before the start of this round of the championship, the Biancocelesti could boast the top spot in the ranking of the most prolific benches: five goals were scored by players who entered during the match for Baroni’s team.
