James Carragherson of Liverpool legend Jamie, will continue his career in League One, the third division of English football. At 21, after seven years spent in the youth system and making his first appearances in the first team (as well as two loans at Oldham and Inverness), the defender is establishing himself as the cornerstone of the team this year and has already made 13 appearances.
Now i Latics have announced his contract renewal until 2027: “We are pleased to announce that James Carragher has extended his contract with Wigan Athletic. Carragher has signed the extension at the Brick Community Stadium until at least the summer of 2027, with the new contract which certifies his exceptional start to the 2024-25 Sky Bet League One campaign.”
