Red Bull interested in Turin? Cairo is quick to deny: “A total falsehood”

Rumors have continued to circulate for several months regarding a possible interest on the part of the Red Bull upon joining the company in Turin. As reported by The Pressthe president of the Granata Urban Cairo in recent weeks he would have met the high emissaries of the Austrian company from Salzburg: initially the focus of the discussion was the expansion of the collaboration which would see Red Bull as main sponsor from 2025, and then subsequently evaluating something else.

Red Bull would have made it an essential condition to successfully close the deal to have a stadium owned in order to be able to start parallel commercial projects that would guarantee cash flows. The Olimpico concession will expire in 2025 and the Municipality, which now collects 500 thousand euros a year, is willing to negotiate its sale. The owner would have started to discuss the withdrawal of the guarantees open for Torino and would have sold Bellanova to Atalanta to make the budget attractive.

Urban Cairoto the notebooks of Turin Chroniclewas quick to respond to the rumours, categorically denying them: “Years ago Ciuccariello, today Red Bull. The subject changes but the constant is the total falsity of the news published”. Statements that follow those on Friday after the 1-0 at Como on the possibility of mending his relationship with the fans, who had not sung in the first half of the match: “Of course it can. I accept everything, I’m a liberal I think it’s not right, but football is also made up of these things. Sometimes certain presidents are challenged after winning a championship. On my part there is goodwill towards everyone, towards the curve and towards everyone.”
