Zazzaroni on Inter-Juve: “Pure fun. Yildiz? He needs less responsibility”

The last Inter-Juventus match will go down in history as one of the most beautiful Italian derbies ever, which also helped Napoli to extend their lead in the standings. The match at San Siro, which ended with a pyrotechnic 4-4, was also analyzed by Ivan Zazzaroni, director of Corriere dello Sport. In his editorial, the journalist highlighted the advantage acquired by the Azzurri, as well as the unusually passive attitude of the two defences: “After 26 minutes the match was already 2-1 for Juve, after 37 the overtaking had been completed and in the end the result was a glorious 4-4. Pure fun, emotions, bad mistakes and some inevitable reflections. The main one concerns the stability of the two defenses, unusually cheerful, open dancers.”

Zazzaroni then continued, also focusing on Kenan Yildiz who saved Juventus from the knockout by scoring a brace in the second half: “Motta gave only thirty minutes to Yildiz and he scored not one but two goals, the first of the season in the league. I’ll change the assessment one iota: Kenan has the numbers but at the moment he needs less responsibility, lightness, some additions from the bench can benefit him. To go from a little player to a big player, he needs something else.”
