Pistoiese, Iorio: “Alleged fans threatened and attacked some players”

Ko heavy that of Pistoia yesterday against Sasso Marconi on the ninth day of the Serie G championship (Group D). Heavy but not to the point of justifying the events that occurred upon returning from the trip and recounted by the orange president Sergio Iorio:

“I was informed of a shameful and barbaric episode, which occurred after the end of the Sasso Marconi match.
A car with 5 women on board, including Claudio Sparacello’s 2-year-old daughter, as well as the ladies Giacomarro, Sparacello, Tarabusi and Lauria, was stopped by a group of… fans (???????) who he insulted and threatened these ladies heavily and violently hit the car and windows… also making the little girl cry.
The fact is so serious that it deserves deep reflection. These are not fans, but people without dignity who rage against the weakest, scaring a two-year-old girl who came to watch her father play.
The bitterness I feel at this moment makes me say that if a similar episode of violence and incivility were to be repeated just one more time, and regardless of any negative result, towards relatives of players or coaches, I will leave Pistoiese that same day, putting resources available to honor the commitments made to date.
I hope that the true Pistoiese fans are not like these cowards and I hope that they will be able to stay close in a civil way to the team and to the FC Pistoiese project, which must be experienced as a sporting passion, without exasperation, resentment or insults and attacks on defenseless people.” .
