No immediate exemption for Ivan Juric: he will lead Roma against Turin

Ivan Juric at the helm of Roma for at least one more match. Given the many close commitments, the Capitoline club, ‘Sky’ reports, has decided to confirm the Croatian coach for at least one more match, the one valid for the tenth matchday of the championship. Even if in the medium to long term Juric’s fate now seems sealed, for now he remains the coach of Roma and on Thursday evening he will lead the Giallorossi against the Turin team he coached until a few months ago.

At the end of the 5-1 defeat at the Franchi against Fiorentina, this is how Juric analyzed his team’s performance: “We know how football is, we threw everything down the toilet today. The young people did well, the old ones were returning to the level they were before. We work, others decide: I remain of the opinion that in these 40 days we have done good things, while I didn’t expect it tonight. If you score 5 goals in 7 games and concede few shots, it means you’re doing great. Tonight we didn’t score ridiculous goals: games like this happen, let’s hope it all happened today and we need to start again as we were before and improving.”

And again: “The team has been carrying great frustration for some time and has collapsed emotionally: this is the final feeling of things. Incredible that these guys would have deserved it against Inter a few days ago and today they collapse like this. We really gave away certain goals. It could have been a frustration accumulated then translated into an emotional collapse”.
