League B, Balata after the Federal Council: “An organic reform of football is necessary”

As the official channels of Lega B let it be known, during the Federal Council which was held today, Monday 28 October, during which the proposal to reform the statute was presented, the president of Lega B Mauro Balata he reiterated how an organic reform that focuses on multiple areas that concern the Italian football system is necessary and can no longer be deferred.

Balata recalled the role of Lega B on the valorization and training of young people “as demonstrated by the recent structural reform which, without asking for any contribution or external support, has channeled all the revenues of the mutuality towards those companies that favor the use of young Italian footballers”.

Precisely in order to continue on this path, Balata reiterated the need, also now indifferent, to be able to count on structural tools for the protection and development of the youth sectors and plant engineering as per the requests already formulated to the Government in recent months.

“Internally, Serie B is the least represented federal component both within the assembly and the council – recalls president Balata -, despite the economic and qualitative contribution that our league provides to the football system and the treasury, and this it is unfair as the numbers in the football report on Serie B also demonstrate. This gap must be remedied’.
