Inter, Zielinski: “Director? Only for the emergency, I prefer to play further forward”

During the interview given to the microphones of Sky Sports, Inter midfielder Piotr Zielinski spoke about the role he covered tonight in the Italian derby against Juventus, in the position of director given the absence of Hakan Calhanoglu. From his words it is clear that, although he agreed to help Inzaghi, it is not the most congenial position for him: “How did I find myself? Good, but I prefer to play further forward in my favorite position. There is an emergency and where necessary I will always try to give your best.”

Lucid analysis also on the topic of the many goals that Inter are conceding this year: “Many regrets?“Certainly, there is regret for this result, we could have closed it by scoring the fifth goal. We didn’t manage to do so and then Juventus were good at scoring the third and fourth goals. Are we conceding a few too many goals?“It’s noticeable, yes. They come out too easily at times, with one pass they find spaces to come forward. It’s something that needs to be improved because last year Inter didn’t allow these things.”

The words of Simone Inzaghi
This is the analysis made by the Nerazzurri coach on his team’s mistakes this evening: “Clearly there were mistakes, we all need to be made more responsible, then I clearly still have to look into them further: there are repeated errors, go and see how the goals went. We all had to do better, it’s difficult to talk about an individual. As a coach I have to be clear-headed and understand, I know that now we are influenced by the result. In eleven games against Juve it has never happened to me to create eight-nine goal opportunities against a team so solid. There is disappointment but we move forward.”
