Inter’s report cards
Summer 5 – Blameless for the first two goals conceded, the doubt that he could have done more on Yildiz’s first goal becomes a certainty when the Turk scores a brace.
Pavard 5.5 – The least worst of the Nerazzurri defense, one of his incursions leads to the penalty that unlocks the evening. (From 63′ Bisseck 5 – Worse than going at night: Yildiz points at him and jumps with disarming ease).
De Vrij 5 – Vlahovic’s goal was too easy. Of course, in retrospect it wasn’t the worst defensive action seen this evening. And in the long run he still contains the Serbian center forward.
Sticks 4.5 – Conceiçao, thanks to the lack of support from his teammates in limiting him, makes him look green: he understands how to limit him only to the final whistle.
Dumfries 6 – A penalty won and a move missed, then he finds a heavy goal because it gives Inter the double advantage. How much effort, however, on Yildiz.

Thuram 7 – A lot, sometimes too much to the point of wasting playing time. But he puts the Juventus defense in difficulty, wins a penalty, wins another. Lots of stuff. (From 87′ Taremi sv).
Lautaro 5 – A shot just wide and a volley which is a missed goal. Too little, on the eve of the Ballon d’Or which he won’t win.
Simone Inzaghi 5.5 – Indecipherable evening, given the result. Are championships won with defense or attack? The news is that Inter is also working without Calhanoglu, but there is no sufficiency behind it. Frattesi on McKennie is the homage to gossip that even an Italian derby deserves, but it doesn’t work. A bit like all the changes this evening.
Juventus report cards
By Gregorio 7 – With four goals to his name? Yes, because the two saves on Dimarco and Barella in the second half were sensational. And they allow Juve to make a comeback.
Cambiaso 6 – Dimarco slows down, arriving at the derby in a truly magical moment. You can’t see much from the front.
Danilo 4 – An unjustifiable evening for someone of his experience. Naive about Thuram, many scattered difficulties. (From 77′ Gatti sv).
Kalulu 5 – The kick in Dumfries that takes Zielinski from the spot was clumsy and unlucky, he needs guidance which isn’t there tonight.
Cabal 6 – He saves himself with the ball which leads to the first Juventus goal.
Locatelli 5.5 – It was difficult to impose yourself against the Inter midfield. Juventus’ dribbling is often predictable and dead-end.
McKennie 6.5 – The assist for Vlahovic’s goal, the cut for Yildiz’s first. Incursions and also good defensive work, he took some pains in the duel with Frattesi.
Weah 7 – The goal was easy, at the end of the first half it sent a cold shiver down the spines of San Siro: the curling shot missed the post and would have deserved better luck. Thiago Motta 6 – As a guest, he brings home a point that has its own value. More penalized than Inzaghi by absences – the Vlahovic/Mbangula substitution is emblematic – he must resolve the uncertainties of a defense that up until now had conceded very few goals and tonight completely slipped. The changes are good.
