Inter, costs unchanged but positive give and take. Salaries weigh a lot: 227 million euros

Inter’s new course is tremendously similar to the old one, at least in terms of expenses. Because costs are essentially unchanged, albeit slightly lower than the previous year. From 465.5 million in 2023 to 464.3 this season, with salaries rising slightly from 226.9 million to 227.4 this season.

It is obviously the largest expense for a huge club like Inter and which includes not only those of the first team but also of the women’s team and above all of the various employees and managers of the Nerazzurri club.

However, it is an excellent indicator that for once the costs were lower than the turnover, 465.5 against 473. “The difference between production value and production costs is positive for Euro 8,882 thousand, an improvement of Euro 48,916 thousand compared to the same previous comparative period (negative for Euro 40,034 thousand), due to the results of the combined effects described previously”.

So why negative? “The consolidated loss for the year, equal to Euro 35,746 thousand (Euro 85,373 thousand at 30 June 2023) was determined by the effect of net current, deferred and prepaid taxes, equal to Euro 9,194 thousand, of which Euro 9,916 thousand referable to taxes current, following the IRAP tax burden pertaining to the 2023/2024 financial year, partially offset by the lower IRAP tax burden recognized and pertaining to previous years, equal to Euro 308 thousand”.
