Chelsea, Palmer on Zola: “He is an icon at FIFA, so he must have been a great footballer”

The Chelsea star Cole Palmer he sincerely admitted that he doesn’t know a true London club icon like Gianfranco Zolato which he is often compared for his technical qualities, explaining that he only knows him through the famous EA FC25 video game (the former FIFA).

“I know he’s an icon at FIFA, so he must have been good. – explained Palmer to Sky Sports after learning of the comparison with the Italian – To tell the truth, I never saw him play, but everyone says he was a great footballer so I thank you for being compared to him”.

Palmer was only three years old when Zola said goodbye to him Blues after seven seasons in which he scored 80 goals in 312 appearances, helping to enrich the club’s trophy case with two FA Cups, a League Cup, a Charity Shield, a Cup Winners’ Cup and a European Super Cup, becoming a real club legend so much so that he has his photo on the wall of the most representative players in Chelsea’s history that surrounds Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea coach also spoke on the comparison between the two Enzo Maresca: “I don’t think Cole knows Gianfranco, but to tell the truth they are quite similar in terms of quality. As an Italian, I know Zola quite well, but I don’t think the two players can be compared. The only thing I can say is that Gianfranco Gianfranco was, and Cole is, a quality player.”
