9.06pm – Barcelona Women are awarded the award of best women’s club of 2024. Alexia Putellas and president Joan Laporta accept the award: “We have done extraordinary things in the last 5 years. We are truly honoured, thanks to all the people at the club, especially the players who have worked so hard. For us it is a special honor, as demonstrated by the We are very proud of our commitment to women’s football. Putellas also speaks: “The credit goes to the whole team.” Then the Blaugrana players take the stage.
9.05pm – Meanwhile, three positions in the top ten of the women’s Ballon d’Or have been revealed: 10th Alexia Putellas, 9th Trinity Rodman, 8th Mariona Caldentey.
8.57pm – Without too many surprises, Lamine Yamal wins the Kopa Trophy (Barcelona)! Then he spoke from the stage: “This is a great recognition, but I give credit to Barcelona, to the club and national team staff, to Mister Xavi who put his trust in me.” A record victory, his: he is the youngest ever to win the award. 8.54pm – After an introductory video, he goes on stage Ruud Gullit to deliver the Kopa Trophy. “Having won the recognition in my time at Milan was nice, at the time there were only three foreigners per team and being part of this elite is something incredible.
