Perin’s mental coach: “He has achieved a great balance, he no longer fears mistakes”

Interviewed by colleagues from TuttoJuve.comthe doctor Nicoletta RomanazziMattia Perin’s mental coach, spoke: “The mental coach’s job is precisely to help people become more aware of themselves and their mechanisms. He was too oriented towards achieving results and this did not put him in contact with the body, increased the pressure on itself and brooded over the mistakes for weeks and was therefore unable to manage them well. Therefore, our goal was to bring all this back into balance and we never stopped doing it.

Mattia began to work on all the situations that are needed from time to time, such as always being on point on the pitch even when he didn’t play much and being able to be a leader in the locker room.

What was the biggest change? Today he has achieved a great balance, he no longer fears mistakes and considers them as a useful source of learning. Now he is able to concentrate much more easily, he has greater awareness of his own abilities and it is precisely balance that is the most important aspect: having achieved it has allowed him to no longer hurt himself, because paradoxically putting a part of rest, fun and indulgence during the diet was effective for its performance. So there have been many changes, not just one specific one.”
