Racism is a difficult plague to eradicate, in Italy as in Spain. Yesterday during El Clasico al Santiago Bernabeu some Real Madrid fans were targeted again Yamal laminae with racist chants, which became very loud after the 3-0 goal scored by the Barcelona gem. Some choirs were also addressed to Alejandro Baldéanother black Spaniard. Today Real Madrid wanted to condemn these acts through an official statement:
“Real Madrid strongly condemns any type of behavior that implies racism, xenophobia or violence in football and sport and deeply regrets the insults uttered last night by some fans in one of the corners of the stadium. Real Madrid has opened an investigation to locate and identify the perpetrators of these deplorable and despicable insults, in order to take appropriate disciplinary and legal measures.”
