Torino-Como 1-0, the report cards: Milinkovic-Savic is worth a big one, Njie enters Granata history

Final result: Turin-Como 1-0

TURIN REPORT CARDS (by Andrea Carlino)
Milinkovic-Savic 7 – In the first half an important save from Cutrone which keeps the Granata afloat in a delicate moment. His presence between the posts transmits security to the rearguard, showing himself to be reactive in his exits and precise in his throws. In the second half he managed the Como team’s offensive attacks with authority. Still good in the final on Mazzitelli.

Walukiewicz 5.5 – Forty-five minutes of suffering and uncertainty, especially when Strefezza targets him one-on-one. He struggled to find the right measurements and was replaced at half-time. From 46′ Vojvoda 6 – His entry brings greater balance to the grenade’s defensive phase. He consistently presents himself on the right flank, even if his initiatives are not always precise.

Coco 6.5 – A performance of substance at the center of defence. Attentive in closing and punctual in advances, he does not give space to Cutrone. His experience proves invaluable in the most delicate moments of the match.

Maripan 6.5 – Rear guard leader, dictates the timing of interventions and coordinates the department with personality. In the final it rises to the level when Como tries everything.

Lazarus 6 – On the right wing he alternates good play with moments of discontinuity. His accelerations create some problems for the Como defense, but there is a lack of precision in the last pass.

Vlasic 6 – Quality is not lacking, but he struggles to find the right position between the lines. A few fine plays are not enough to have the impact he would like. From 72′ Tameze 6 – He comes in to give substance to the midfield at the end, a task carried out with diligence.

Ricci 6.5 – The metronome of the Granata midfield dictates the timing of the maneuver intelligently. His enlightened playmaking allows the team to maintain possession in key moments.

Linetty 6 – Running and dynamism at the service of the team, even if not always clear in his choices. From 64′ Gineitis 6 – Brings fresh energy to the middle of the pitch at the decisive moment of the match.

Masina 6 – Pushes continuously in the left-handed lane, creating more than a few headaches for the visiting defense. He leaves exhausted. From 94′ Dembele sv

Adams 6 – He moves a lot for the team but can’t find a way to score. However, his dirty work is precious for the offensive balance.

Sanabria 5.5 – Complicated evening for the Paraguayan who fails to make an impact as usual. From 64′ Njie 7 – His entrance changes the game. The decisive goal is a mix of opportunism and technique that is worth three very important points.

Paolo Vanoli 7 – Torino stops the bleeding of negative results. His team grows gradually and the changes prove decisive. The victory bears his tactical signature.

COMO REPORT CARDS (by Andrea Carlino)
Audero 6 – The evening at the Olimpico Grande Torino proved to be complex for the Como goalkeeper, who was called upon to make numerous interventions to defuse the Granata’s initiatives. He can do nothing about Njie’s goal, betrayed by an incorrect back pass from a teammate which prevents him from making a decisive intervention.

Goldaniga 6 – The defender’s evening turns out to be particularly complicated right from the start. The warning received for a careless intervention on Masina affected his performance, forcing him to manage the duels conservatively. In the second half, however, he is very good at closing on Sanabria.

Dossena 6 – In the heart of the Como defense he emerges as a point of reference for his teammates. His performance is characterized by a series of providential interventions, especially on set pieces where his elevation is decisive. In the first half, a sliding stop on Sanabria saved the result, while in the second half he managed the duel with Adams with experience.

Kempf 6 – His interpretation of the role of central defender stands out for a mix of aggression and timing in interventions. In the first half, a series of advances on Sanabria highlight his excellent positional sense, while in the second half he takes center stage with some defensive diagonals that close off potentially dangerous spaces.

Moreno 5.5 – He pushes little and suffers from grenade initiatives in his lane. From 83′ Mazzitelli 6 – A few minutes to make an impact in the frantic final, but at the last minute he engages Milinkovic-Savic who denies him the goal.

Sergi Roberto 6 – His experience can be seen in the first few minutes, then a physical problem forces him to make a change. From 38′ Braunoder 4.5 – He comes in coldly, his mistake is serious and condemns the Como team to defeat.

Perrone 6.5 – The best of his. In the role of playmaker in front of the defense, the Argentine confirms himself as an essential element for the balance of Fabregas’ team. His ability to dictate the timing of the maneuver is accompanied by a constant presence during the interdiction phase

Strefezza 6 – The offensive winger starts with his foot on the accelerator, creating havoc in the Granata rearguard with his dribbling and changes of direction. In the first half his shot from the edge forces Milinkovic-Savic to deflect for a corner, but as the minutes pass his influence on the match progressively diminishes. From 73′ Da Cunha 5.5 – He fails to deliver the shock hoped for in the finale.

Peace 6 – The position between the lines is not interpreted with the necessary clarity by the Argentine attacking midfielder. The pressure from the Granata midfield often forces him to play with his back to goal, limiting his ability to play. He hits the crossbar in the second half, the only real highlight of his match. From 83′ Belotti sv

Fadera 6 – On the left flank he alternates interesting ideas with moments of discontinuity. His speed puts the Granata defense in difficulty on a couple of occasions in the first half, but in the second half his contribution to the offensive maneuver decreases significantly. From 83′ Jasim sv

Cutrone 6 – The attacker moves continuously across the entire offensive front, trying to create spaces for his teammates. In the first half, one of his close-range shots was neutralized by an excellent intervention from Milinkovic-Savic, while in the second half the suffocating pressure from the Granata defense forced him to often play far from the area.

Cesc Fabregas 6 – The tactical approach proved effective for over an hour of play, with his team capable of keeping up with the highly rated Torino. The management of the changes, however, does not bring the desired results, with the substitutes struggling to get into the heart of the game. The defeat came just at the moment in which his team seemed to be in control, highlighting the need for greater cynicism in key moments of the match.
