Video

The match at the Bluenergy Stadium ends in celebration for Udinese, with Runjaic’s men winning 2-0 over Cagliari thanks to goals from Lucca and Davis, momentarily rising to third place in the standings on a par with Juventus.

Slow start
The match struggled to take off despite the home team starting off strong in terms of intensity. The first shot towards the goal arrives close to the 20th minute with Pajero who cuts through the center and tries the shot towards the goal from a very long distance but the ball is deflected for a corner. Three minutes later Lucca works a good ball with his back to goal and passes backwards towards Lovric: his conclusion is easy prey for Scuffet. In the 27th minute it was Lovric again who fired a right-footed shot from distance which however was lost on the bottom to Scuffet’s right.

Red in Makoumbou, Lucca unlocks it
At half an hour the key episode: Makoumbou is surprised by Pajero and is rushed to the foul. The midfielder, already booked in the fifth minute, was sent to the shower early. In the 36th minute, nice play by Ehizibue in the area. The winger shoots to the near post but Scuffet is attentive and deflects it into a corner. To break the deadlock, we think about the development of the shot from the flag with Lucca who breaks away perfectly and heads past Scuffet from Kamara’s cross.

Davis closes the deal
The second half opens with Cagliari pushing with Mina but his header is blocked by Kamara. In the 18th minute, a double opportunity for Udinese with a cross from Davis which was not collected by any teammate. The action continues with Lovric who tries the shot on goal but the ball ends up just wide. The doubling that closes the score is signed by Davis, able to skip Luperto and kick with power behind Scuffet.
