Interviewed by today’s edition of Tuttosport, Massimo Giletti spoke about the events linked to the Milan and Inter curves: “My fear is that the State considers the stadium curves to be ‘free zones’, effectively leaving them in the hands of criminals. In this case, for example, death was served of a leading figure of one of the most dangerous gangs, namely Antonio Bellocco himself, so that the state system felt obliged to intervene at that point, wiretaps like the one we brought to light in the broadcast are not part of the current line of investigations , date back to the work carried out in 2018: where did that investigation end up? And why didn’t it develop? Now concrete answers are needed, also to be placed in the hands of sports justice, which is waiting to be able to take its course.”
Who else could or should have intervened, in your opinion, in these years?
“I think of the political sphere of Milan, from the mayor to the council, figures usually lined up in the VIP stand at San Siro. Is it possible that they had no idea what was happening all around them? I would be sincerely surprised, just as I am surprised that suddenly the parking spaces around the stadium have returned to the rate of 1.20 euros per hour, when previously the outlay reached up to 40 euros amid general indifference”.
What else surprises you about this story?
“The interview I put together with Enzo Anghinelli, former drug trafficker and AC Milan ultras, left me dismayed. In 2019 he survived an ambush in which a bullet went through his head: how is it possible that it took five years to clarify the matter? And how is it possible that it was he who had to explain to us that the men sent by Luca Lucci were behind the episode?”.
