D’Aversa: “I always come back willingly to Parma. Krause spent 400 million, today it’s worth a big”

Speaking at a press conference on the eve of Parma-Empoli, mister Roberto D’Aversa he spoke thus of his return to the Tardini after the long adventure on the bench from 2016 to 2021 and of the challenge that awaits his Azzurri: “I return to a stadium where I have been for almost four years in which we have done very important things. I will gladly return there, when I think of Parma I think of the club and the people who allowed us to have that great experience. I still feel these people, I have strong ties with many of them. I think of Marco Ferrari, Paolo Pizzarotti, Pietro Pizzarotti, Angelo Gandolfi, Giacomo Malmesi, Guido Barilla, Giampaolo Dallara, the Director Daniele Faggiano, the team manager Alessio Cracolici with whom I often speak, Riccardo Gatto, Alessio Paini, Rino Soda and Matteo Priori and Vito Laudadio. That said, I am an opponent and the objective is to take back what we missed with Napoli. Parma have talented and quality players, they are young. We will have to be very careful.”

What Parma do you think you will find?
“Parma is a team with good players, with a goalkeeper who is also good at the long ball. They are technically good, we have to be careful throughout the ninety minutes. The level of concentration must be high for the whole match.”

What do you think of Pecchia? How do you manage your strength at the moment, with so many games on the horizon?
“I’m happy for Fabio Pecchia, the fact that he extended his contract and I wish him the best of luck after tomorrow’s match. Having said that, right now we know that we have to face many close matches, but we only have to think about tomorrow’s match. What makes me The happy thing is that I will probably use most, if not all of the squad. This will allow the guys who have played less to show their qualities.”

Can we consider Parma a team that has important physical capabilities?
“The new ownership has spent 400 million euros, it’s not a little. They have a way of thinking, I want to work on young people and I’ve noticed it too. They have signed strong players, but they also have the right experience. Parma is not a provincial team , for the investments made it is a team that is on a par with a great one. We cannot afford to think we have a simple commitment.”
