Dani Olmo he returned to the pitch yesterday after five weeks of absence following the injury sustained in the derby against Girona. The Spanish striker played the final fifteen minutes of his Barcelona’s 4-1 win against Bayern Munich and now he can’t wait to experience the emotions of the Classicto which the Catalans arrive as favorites as they are first in the standings: “In a match like this there are no favourites. It is the best match that can be played in La Liga and in Europe. We can beat them with our ideas and we want to prove it” , explained the Catalan footballer in an interview with TV3.
Dani Olmo has faced Real Madrid three times in his career, all wearing the Leipzig shirt. In 2022-23 he faced the Blancos in the Champions League group stage, winning 3-2. Last year they met again in the round of 16: in the first leg, at the Red Bull Arena, the match ended 0-1, while the return leg at the Bernabéu ended in a draw (1-1).
Before his injury, Dani Olmo had played three LaLiga games for Barcelona and had always found the back of the net. Now he feels one hundred percent ready to face his eternal rival.
