Juventus, Yildiz and Del Piero’s record: “Beating him seemed like a movie to me”

During his interview on the official FIFA channels, the Juventus talent Kenan Yildiz in addition to talking about his first goal with the Turkey shirt and the importance of the Juventus number 10, he also spoke about his relationship with Alex Del Piero. This is his thought:

“Where I am today is because of him and my mother. My mother helped me off the field, with school, with everything. My parents helped me to be strong in mind and never give up. You broke the record of Del Piero as Juventus’ youngest scorer in the Champions League. It seemed like it was a film.

The interview Del Piero gave me after that goal? I was really nervous, to be honest! And then I had to speak in Italian! But I think I did pretty well. Del Piero is a really good person. He texts me sometimes and we talk. It’s fantastic. Juventus number 10? You have two sides of the coin to have a number like this. It’s a really, really heavy number. You have the side of confidence, the pride, but then you also have the side where you have to show something for the people who gave you that honor. It was nice to play because, on the field, if it gives you the feeling of being able to do something, you know?”.
