Juve-Stuttgart 0-1, the report cards: a sumptuous Perin is not enough. Three to Danilo: what a disaster

Final result: Juventus-Stuttgart 0-1

Juventus report cards (edited by Raimondo De Magistris)

Perin 8.5 – He saves everything and more: four great interventions, then a penalty saved. It’s a shame that the happy ending is missing: in the 92nd minute he is mocked by El Bilal Touré.

Savona 5 – Disoriented. In the first half he doesn’t know whether he should keep Leweling or pay attention to Mittelstadt’s raids. In the end he succeeds badly in both things. From 55th Cambiaso 6.5 – His entry gives a completely different depth to the Juventus right flank.

Kalulu 5 – On the goal that decides the match he watches El Bilal Touré slip away and does nothing to stop him.

Danilo 3 – Out of gear. Not only does he not lead the defense, but he is in constant difficulty in marking. In the final, senseless intervention that leaves Juventus with ten men and allows Stuttgart to take advantage of a penalty. Evening to cancel.

Cabal 5 – More at ease when he has to push, but against Stuttgart he had to fall back and hold his own. For 90 minutes he had to deal exclusively with the defensive phase, the one in which all his limitations emerge.

Beans 5 – For all coaches, director is naturally his role. Maybe it will be, but for now he interprets it with great difficulty.

Conceicao 5.5 – Try to turn it on immediately, with its usual accelerations. But it doesn’t last long also because he isn’t supported by his teammates: he should fall back more on that flank, but he doesn’t. And at the beginning of the second half Motta called him back to the bench. From the 55th Weah 6.5 – Good impact on the game, he is the protagonist of three interesting crosses.

McKennie 5 – He is never in the game: he plays a negligible number of balls. From the 55th Locatelli 5.5 – In the middle of the field the music doesn’t change too much with his entrance.

Thuram 5 – Frantic, imprecise. He wants to prove that he belongs to Juve, he clearly lacks calm.

Yildiz 6 – In the general grayness he is the only one to attempt some conclusion. Nothing transcendental, but better than his teammates.

Vlahovic 5 – Systematically out of Juventus’ game, too isolated to make a difference. In difficulties he is not a point of reference: his teammates don’t look for him on the sidelines. From the 68th Adzic 5.5 – He only has one restart available: he wastes it.

Thiago Motta 5 – The worst Juventus of the season: static, fearful, never proactive and always at the mercy of Stuttgart.

Stuttgart’s report cards (edited by Marco Pieracci)

Nubel sv – Bayern are keeping an eye on him for Neuer’s succession, he spends the evening in Turin mostly as a tourist: Juventus doesn’t give him the opportunity to show off.

Vagnoman 7 – Fierce in the marking applied on Yildiz to keep him from speeding up, he eats him in a providential recovery. Aggressive behind, powerful when he starts in progression.

Rouault 6.5 – He holds his position properly, he has a little more difficulty in defending in the open field but by hook or by crook he never lets himself be overcome in one-on-one situations.

Chabot 7 – Bouncer from the penalty area, he throws Vlahovic away with pushes and shoulder strikes. In construction he takes some risks, he’s fine with it.

Mittelstadt 6.5 – Hidden playmaker for the Germans, he inspires with the foot of an attacking midfielder rather than a full-back: it seems he has the radar. Conceicao doesn’t drive him crazy, Weah a little more. From 90’+6 Chase sv

Karazor 6.5 – Captain of substance, placed there specifically to stifle Motta’s dribbling: he obscures Fagioli’s playmaking, leaving good manners aside.

Stiller 7 – In the middle of the central defenders to set up from the bottom, he handles possession with obsessive care: he sorts out an enormous quantity of balls, the one delivered to Undav’s head being refined.

Millot 6.5 – Good feet, vision of the game and quick thinking, this is how he puts Demirovic in front of the goalkeeper. He commits Perin, who then hypnotizes him from the spot. Error immediately made up for with the assist for Touré.

Undav 6 – He plays in support of Demirovic, gets to the shot with ease but his aim isn’t the best. He unlocks it with help, exposed by VAR. From 74′ Rieder 6.5 – Refreshes the trocar, increases the quality of the phrasing.

Leweling 7.5 – He is not only physical but also excellent technique and propensity for dialogue: he often exchanges positions with Undav, to confuse the Juventus defense’s ideas. Top performance, he impresses with how he is on the pitch.

Demirovic 6 – Simple yet difficult to decode movements, he steps back every time to open up spaces. Perin and the post deny him the goal, then he risks a second yellow. From 62′ Toure 7 – He comes in and solves it, knocking out the Lady. Evidently they had seen us right in Bergamo.

Sebastian Hoeness 7.5 – Some people recommended him, but Stuttgart plays really good football and holds Juve hostage. Never seen the Bianconeri in such difficulty this season as in the first half. Afterwards the intensity drops a bit but they still manage to bring it home with full merit.
