Birmingham Airport has been evacuated following reports of a suspicious vehicle. The news was reported by the English police who – according to the BBC – advised all people not to approach the airport while the police will carry out the appropriate checks.
West Midlands Police described the evacuation order as ‘a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and staff’.
An uncomfortable situation for passengers who were ready to take a flight from that airport: among these were also the many Bologna supporters yesterday at Villa Park to watch the match against Aston Villa.
