Empoli, R. Corsi: “Some chat with Napoli for Fazzini, but he should stay”

Rebecca Corsi, vice-president of Empolispoke to Radio Kiss Kiss Naplesreturning to the meeting between his team and Napoli last Sunday. His words begin by reconstructing an episode that would have happened in the stands, with the unfortunate protagonist being a young Campania supporter: “We have already archived everything that happened on Sunday in the stands at Castellani. It was a girl and not a boy. There were a mother, father and five-year-old girl who rejoiced during the celebrations for Napoli’s goal and there was a misunderstanding between the fans. We were in the Grandstand and there were several Neapolitans due to the different sponsors. No one was sent away, I personally intervened as soon as I learned that there was a little girl who I imagine was scared. I intervened and everyone returned to their seats and finished watching the game. I read articles about a terrified little girl at Castellani, but it was exaggerated. We are focused on the match, but we want the guests to enjoy the show. We live the matches as events and we don’t know how many more times Napoli will be able to come to Castellani. We find ourselves facing superior teams, but with courage and youthful audacity we throw our hearts over the obstacle and face them without fear.”

How sorry are you for the defeat?
“There is regret for the defeat against Napoli, but also for the one against Lazio. Losing a match for an episode makes us upset a bit, but I prefer to lose matches like this, we just have to continue on this path which is the right one.”

What do you think of the penalty for Napoli?
“There is never a clear image that gives you the definitive answer, you might as well not lose energy and try to move forward and think about the next match, we are already thinking about Sunday’s match and the concentration is all there.”

But is it true that Napoli likes Fazzini?
“There has been some chatter, but Jacopo would do well to stay here with us for another year. On Sunday we were able to see first-hand the value of the boy, but Jacopo must think about Empoli and his growth so that the doors of clubs like Napoli can be opened.”
