Juventus has the best defense in Europe. Still zero goals conceded from action in Serie A

Only one goal conceded in 720 minutes, Juventus’ defense is scary. And it is, in both quantitative and qualitative terms, the best in Europe. At least considering, as usual, the best championships of the Old Continent. Nobody like Thiago Motta’s Bianconeri, punctured only by Marin’s penalty kick in the first 8 games of the championship. Of goals conceded from open play, not even the shadow, and many times – as with Lazio – for Di Gregorio the work was really limited to the minimum wage and often he didn’t even have to get his gloves dirty.

As if placing itself on the conceptual path already dug in previous years by the various Conte first and then Max Allegri, power to the defense. While waiting for the attack to unblock itself and prove capable of scoring with greater continuity (11 goals scored in 8 games are not exactly the best haul) there is still the security that comes from the defense and from knowing that the opponents, at least for now, need something special to pierce Di Gregorio. On the other hand, it is not even easy for Motta to find the right structure as he cannot count on so many players of the caliber of Koopmeiners, Nico Gonzalez and Milik: in any case, it is reasonable to expect more from the various Vlahovics and Yildizs. But Motta starts again after the last round knowing that he can rely heavily on his rearguard, even without a big man like Bremer, who is dealing with a very long break due to injury.
