Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtoistook part in the press conference on the eve of the match scheduled for tomorrow at the Santiago Bernabéu against Borussia Dortmund. Among the many topics, the Belgian goalkeeper was also asked about the controversy of the last derby with Atletico: below are his statements on the matter.
On Simeone’s words regarding sanctioning those who provoke: “I respect your opinion, but I don’t share it. We have a different idea of what provocation is. I don’t want to make any further comments on this.”
Disappointment of the Metropolitano case and the throwing of objects at his address: “I have no intention of commenting further on this topic. I am focused on the match against Dortmund.”
On ultras and assigned seats in stadiums: “The important thing is that there is no violence. I have experienced many similar situations in Belgium. Anyone who supports their team and creates a bit of rivalry doesn’t cause me problems, I like it, it gives me more adrenaline and more desire to do. But everything must be done with respect for those who are playing and there can be no violence. Sometimes there is a bit of play between a player and a fan, it’s normal the chants. If there is no violence, I don’t see any problem. We have to eliminate those who want to do harm.”
