Final: Sudtirol-Pisa
South Tyrol’s report cards
Poluzzi 6 – He can do nothing about Lind’s equalizer, he controls the ordinary administration of the Nerazzurri’s crosses with certainty. Then on the penalty he is wrong-footed.
Days 5.5 – Paired with Ceppitelli, Lind does not control the goal of the equal guest well, who passes in front of him and scores. For the rest a not bad performance, even if Pisa creates something in their part.
Ceppitelli 5 – He cages Lind for half an hour, then remains halfway between coming out on Hojholt and keeping Lind, who isn’t even caught by Giorgini. Then the rather naive penalty foul on Moreo. He comes close to equalizing in the final.
Masiello 6 – He keeps Arena and Touré’s descents at bay with experience. Happy return to the field after 50 days of absence.
Molina 6.5 – Active forward and careful to cover Beruatto’s runs, who struggles a bit against him. Also dangerous when shooting.
From 79′ Crespi sv
Arrigoni 6 – Launch with perfect timing for the lead signed by Tait. Then Pisa grows and they too struggle to maintain clarity in pressing.
Praszelik 6 – Protagonist more in the fight than in the embroidery, with his teammates he is unable to find adequate countermeasures to the growth of his opponents in the approach, but his performance remains positive.
From the 67th minute Martini – Enters well, he had put the ball at the feet of Merkaj who however wasted it on Semper’s exit. Good geometries in the final assault.
Rover 6 – When he comes into possession of the ball, the feeling is that something can always happen. He keeps his direct opponents on his wing worried.
From 79′ Zedadka sv
Casiraghi 5.5 – He creates little, helps his teammates in coverage. Even on the placed it is not as precise as it could be.
From the 67th minute Merkaj 5.5 – He has the ball to make it 2-2 but is hypnotized by Semper.
Tait 6.5 – A ball comes to him to hit: he fixes it, works it and scores with a perfect diagonal. Then he feels something being pulled and is forced out due to injury.
From 37′ Davi 5.5 – He fights, but struggles to play clean balls and help his team, who after the opening goal are increasingly crushed by their opponents.
Odogwu 5.5 – Not an easy match for him, he has the merit of fighting insistently for the ball which then caroms at Tait’s feet for the goal of his team’s momentary initial advantage, then the rebound for Ceppitelli in the final. A little little.
Coach Federico Valente 5.5 His team does what it has to do admirably in the first half of the game, only to then pay for mistakes that cost them dearly. He has the merit of believing in it until the end and making it clear even with the substitutions, but in the second half Sudtirol was unable to avoid being crushed before the opponent’s comeback.
Pisa’s report cards
Always 7 – He can’t do much about Tait’s momentary goal, otherwise he has to do very little, just to control the opposing crosses. Then he performs a result-saving miracle on Merkaj.
Caracciolo 5 – The taint of the clumsy error on Tait’s opening goal weighs heavily on his performance. Even in the final he risks a lot on Merkaj’s cut.
Canestrelli 6 – In the middle he doesn’t run any big risks, he controls his direct opponents well even if he is surprised by his teammate’s mistake and doesn’t have time to close down Tait. Chills at the end, he holds up.
Rus 6 – Between free kicks and crosses from the back, he puts in many interesting balls for his teammates. Also good in defensive coverage
Beruatto 5.5 – He pushes little in the first half and also does it imprecisely. Better when folding. He doesn’t grow much in the second half.
From 79′ Angori sv
Piccinini 5.5 – He doesn’t give adequate support to Hojholt in the setup, he comes out at the end of the first 45 minutes giving Marin his place in the midfield.
From 46′ Marin 6.5 – He comes in after a tiring double commitment to the national team, he does it with the right attitude, pushing his team to the opening goal. Which was born from his own initiative, which led to Ceppitelli’s foul.
Hojholt 7 – He is the one who immediately sounds the “alarm clock” for his team, after a subdued start, both in words and in deeds, you see a couple of effective defensive actions. He shoots when he can and then serves the perfect assist for Lind.
Toure 6 – Willing, but not very involved with his teammates who don’t always serve his insertions at the right times. He takes advantage of the excellent opportunity that comes to him on the right.
Arena 6.5 – He gives the feeling of being able to strike at any moment with his liveliness, even if he struggles in the first half. He grows in the second half by looking for one-on-ones more often and then perfectly scores the penalty to make it 2-1.
From 76′ Tramoni 5.5 – He’s back after a long time and that’s the good news. The goal of the possible 1-3 is eaten.
Moreo 6.5 – He understands that he has to bend down to find balls to play or make playable. He also struggled to create anything interesting going forward in the first half. Then he earns the penalty kick at the start of the second half and starts a series of interesting counterattacks for his team: a great display of sacrifice and running.
From 86′ Mlakar sv
Lind 6.5 – Ghost for half an hour, on the first good ball he scores a goal like a true number 9. He runs everywhere to press as much as he can, comes out exhausted.
From 76′ Bonfanti sv He works a ball very well for Tramone, who however wastes it. Enter with the right attitude.
Coach Filippo Inzaghi 6.5 –A dirty and not nice match to play, which Pisa has the merit of bringing home. A very heavy victory due to the concreteness with which his team capitalized on the few opportunities created.
