Ultras investigation, after Inzaghi Calhanoglu also confirms contacts with the curve

After coach Simone Inzaghi, Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu also confirmed that he has had contact in recent months with leading exponents of the Curva Nord. He did so during his deposition to the investigators of the Milan Flying Squad as part of the ‘Due Curve’ investigation of the Milan DDA which led to the elimination of the leaders of the organized supporters of Inter and Milan on 30 September with 19 arrests .

The Turkish footballer, heard as a person informed of the facts but not under investigation, admitted having known both Marco Ferdico and Antonio Bellocco, the other Ultras leader killed last September 4 in Cernusco sul Naviglio, and “having had personal relationships ” with the two even though “the club had told us not to have contact with the ultras”.

Calhanoglu stated that he maintained those relationships out of gratitude given that the ‘Curva Nord’ had shown him great closeness in the days of the earthquake in Türkiye with a banner and that he understood that it was really Bellocco “only after seeing the photograph following the news of his murder”. Subsequently the footballer denied having gone to dinner with him and their respective families and declared that he had never received pressure of any kind.
