Jankulovski: “Spalletti attacked me in a meeting, it took Bertotto and Sensisi to calm him down”

Marek Jankulovski tomorrow at 6pm he will witness the challenge of his heart, that of his years in Italy: Milan on one side, Udinese on the other. And as a double ex he recalled the years at Juventus with Luciano Spalletti (and not only) in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport: “With Spalletti we have always played at a high level in championships and in 2004-05 we finished fourth. For Udinese it is almost worth a scudetto.”

Does Spalletti, coach of the national team, convince you?
“After a disappointing European Championship, he did well to get off to a great start again and is building a young and beautiful team. I had no doubts because he had already
proved to be a hard worker, someone who asks a lot of his players.”

He even clashed with her once.

“He thought I wasn’t giving my best because everyone said I would go to Milan. During a technical meeting following a defeat in Messina he attacked me and it took Bertotto and Sensini to calm him down. His virtue is that he doesn’t hold grudges and in fact the relationship has been recomposed.”

At Milan he worked for four years with Ancelotti.

“An incredible coach, a guide for the group: we won the Champions League and then the European Super Cup, but the best match of all was the semi-final return match against United: a clear and deserved 3-0. Ancelotti is still the best and Real are right to keep hold of him. I also have good memories of Leonardo and Allegri, even if due to injuries I was able to make less of my contribution.”
