Last February 16 he had extended the agreement with the club, until 2027, but something in Daniele Verde had broken, and his stay in Spezia still seemed complicated; also because, in the last days of the winter transfer market last season (it was January 27th) the attacking winger seemed close to transferring to Palermo, if it hadn’t been for a brace which then changed the cards on the table and brought the 1996 class to long contract renewal with the Ligurian Eagles. Then served cheaply in the summer, because there was the transfer to Salernitanawhen the calendar marked August 13th.
Now, Verde will have to deal with his recent past, because on Saturday afternoon Salernitana and Spezia will face each other on the 9th day of the Serie B championship, in the match that will kick off at 3:00 pm at the ‘Arechi’ in Salerno.
In the press conference the day before, the footballer himself spoke in this way Juventus coach Luca D’Angelo: “He is a wonderful boy from a human point of view and a very strong player who has done a lot for this team on and off the pitch. It will be a pleasure to see him again and I wish him the best, except against us.”
