Lukaku compares Conte to the greatest coaches: “That’s why they always win”

During the interview given to the podcast ‘”Friends of Sports’, the center forward of Napoli Romelu Lukaku compared Antonio Conte to the greatest coaches currently in circulation: “The beautiful thing about him is that he is exactly the right one, I think the way in which he coaches is beautiful. The way in which he brings the team together. Pep Guardiola does it too, even Klopp, Mourinho, Ancelotti. They are the great coaches. If you look at the teams that win, there is always a coach who has a good tactical plan but above all who manages to create a united team, with players who work well together.”

Then in another passage again concerning Antonio Conte he added: “When I arrived in Italy he told me: ‘Listen to me, in my system of play you can’t keep the ball too much, you have to give it back immediately, you don’t have to play like Lautaro’. From that moment Lautaro and I knew that we had to pass the ball to each other. with each other and that Lautaro’s qualities matched mine perfectly. We continually trained to pass the ball to each other, so at a certain point I knew perfectly well where he or Sanchez or whoever would play in his place Kvaratskhelia. This is what Conte does: he creates a sort of partnership between the players. The same thing goes with McTominay.”
